Jessica Benjamin, Owner
Born into a social family, Jessica fell in love with hosting events at a young age and was always on hand to help "the chef". After a decade of managing events for restaurants, corporate meetings and conferences all over the world, Jessica felt a strong desire to work more locally and for events with a more personal purpose.
In 2010, Jessica started 1517 Events and has been producing local events in Boulder ever since. Each event we take on has served a larger purpose of connecting people and serving the local Boulder community. From restaurant openings and fundraisers, to farm dinners and community engagement, Jessica brings a fresh perspective and unbounded passion for our community to each event.
When she isn't working with clients, Jessica enjoys all of Boulder's delights with her husband and two small children. On the weekends they often enjoy hiking, traveling, cooking and exploring Colorado's many outdoor offerings. As a Colorado native and an University of Colorado alum, Jessica's heart belongs in Boulder and she looks forward to strengthening the community with each new project.
